Born June 21, 1960, in Detroit, Michigan to Rev. Marshall & Heloise F. Taylor.
 

Helyssa, affectionately addressed by her middle name “Vikki,” was baptized in Jesus name at the tender age of nine, filled with the Holy Ghost at age twelve. After asking her grandfather, the late Elder H.J. Hoke, to anoint her hands to play the organ and piano. Pastor Taylor-Samuels began serving in the Music Department as musician, choir director, & songwriter. 
 

September 1995, Pastor Taylor-Samuels joined in support of her father, Pastor Marshall Taylor, to start the ministry of The Word of Grace Church where she is now serving as Pastor since her father’s passing.
